You may be nervous before your initial consultation. That’s perfectly natural. You can relax though, as your friendly and professional therapist will just want to chat with you, get to know you and explore your current issues. Together, you’ll go through your background history and establish a focus for therapy.
Prior to booking your first appointment, we’ll ask you to highlight any issues you need help with and also your availability. Do you prefer daytime, evening, weekend appointments? When is most convenient for you? When do you feel most relaxed?
You also get to choose whether you’d like to talk online or face-to-face. Once we know your issues and preferences, we will match you with the best therapist for you.
We’ll offer you your initial Head Agenda appointment within 24 hours of contacting us. This is an appointment offer and not a booking.
We require ongoing appointments to be paid for two days in advance.
First, a word about VAT. Despite our best efforts to avoid it, we have no choice but to add VAT to our rates. It’s frustrating as we’ve spent considerable time consulting with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have explored every avenue to avoid adding VAT. The BACP continues to lobby the government to include counselling and psychotherapy on their list of excluded businesses.
